CURATED BY JENS-PETER BRASK
Curated by Jens-Peter Brask is a Copenhagen-based curatorial platform founded by entrepreneur and art enthusiast Jens-Peter Brask. With more than three decades of experience in art collecting, Brask owns the extensive private art collection, The Brask Collection. Since the establishment of Curated by Jens-Peter Brask, we have specialized in curating contemporary art, murals, and talks, as well as publishing art books through Brask Publications, in collaboration with global artists, collectors, and art and cultural institutions.
For us, bringing art into society is crucial, whether through public art projects, museum exhibitions, or the publication of art books. It is always with art in focus. Art enriches society in many ways, and our greatest motivation is to pass on what art has given and continues to give to us and many others. Our focus lies in curating contemporary art in diverse and various formats, supporting the accessible, experimental, and innovative aspects of the art scene.
Brask HQ, our headquarters, serves as both a showcase for Brask's private art collection and a platform for emerging contemporary art. Operating uniquely and not conforming to traditional gallery norms, we occasionally host public exhibition openings and book launches.
If you would like to visit us, please contact us at brask@braskart.com to schedule a private viewing by appointment. We look forward to hearing from you!

Professional Experience
Founder & Curator – Curated by Jens-Peter Brask
Through Curated by Jens-Peter Brask platform, he has produced over 20 books and organised approximately 60 mural projects around Copenhagen, collaborating with international and local artists.
Curated gallery shows and museum collaborations, and built a space in Copenhagen for young artists to present to collectors.
Art Collector – The Brask Collection
Began collecting in the early 1990s, first work acquired in 1993 (by Danish artist Michael Kvium) after initial interest in graffiti.
The collection includes works by both established and emerging artists, with a strong interest in mixed media, urban art, and skateboard art editions (e.g., over 350 skate art editions).
Emphasises authenticity, personal connection and "buying from the heart", rather than following trend-hypes.
Podcast Host – "Kunstsamlerne (The Art Collectors)"
Host and curator of the series "Kunstsamlerne" exploring Danish collectors and their collections, invites listeners "to explore art collections from a wide range of unique Danish collectors".
Aims to inspire more people to engage with art in all its forms.
Selected Projects & Exhibitions
Large-scale mural project in the Nordvest district of Copenhagen: by the end of 2019, sixteen murals commissioned on residential co-ops, bringing public art into the urban environment.
Book series "Brask Studio Visits" – documenting visits to artists in their studios around the world; published multiple volumes.
Curated shows at Danish institutions: e.g., "The Brask Collection meets Willumsen" at the J.F. Willumsen Museum.
Philosophy & Approach
Art should provoke, engage, and create dialogue. He states: "A single work of art can have completely different meanings depending on who's looking at it."
In building a collection, "it is far more challenging (and interesting) to go against the flow when building a collection."
On public art: believes art belongs to everyday life, not just galleries or museums. He initiates mural projects to bring art into urban spaces and into the public realm.
